I work at a convenience and there are these Mexican’s that come in daily and all the employees complain about them because they don’t understand what they’re saying. They order food and we have to ask them to repeat or point to what they want.

I figured I’d attempt to learn Spanish to maybe try and communicate with them better. Or do you think that might offend them? I’m sure its bound to annoy them when we have to ask to repeat themselves.

I’m kind of a slow learner. Do those English to Spanish books really help? I’ve looked through some books like that and was never sure of how to pronounce the words. Tapes maybe?

What books/tapes or whatever would you suggest? I’d like names of them, if possible. Or links even. I plan on going to Barnes and Noble to look for something. But I’ll order online from some where else if need be.
